Transforming media agency? Approaches to automation in Finnish legacy media

The algorithmic automation of media processes has produced machines that perform in roles were previously occupied by human beings. Recent research probed various theoretical approaches to the agency and ethical responsibility algorithms. However, there is no consensus concerning many key issues. Rather than setting out with fixed conceptions, this calls for a closer look at considerations attitudes motivate actual attributions responsibility. empirical context study legacy where introduction automation, together topical journalistic ethics responsibility, given rise substantial reflection on received conceptions practices. results show continuing resistance machines.
